Retired Senior Volunteer Program

“One of the people who benefits the most is me.”

Retired Senior Volunteer Program

Senior Corps volunteer programs connect people 55 years and older to organizations that need them most. Catholic Charities helps them become mentors, coaches, and companions to people in need. They also contribute their job skills and expertise to community projects and organizations.

Americans 55 years and older have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. They’ve managed households, been business owners, and nurses, farmers, and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process!

RSVP volunteers have the flexibility and ability to choose how they want to give back to their community. RSVP volunteers may volunteer from a few hours to more than 40 hours a week at numerous volunteer sites. These volunteers provide much-needed support to places such as:

  • Senior Centers

  • Hospitals

  • Museums

  • Elementary schools

  • Non-profit organizations

The RSVP program enriches the lives of our volunteers and the community we serve. This program is available in DeKalb, Noble, LaGrange, and Steuben counties.
