Free Hispanic Medical Translation

Our Hispanic Health Advocate program serves those who need Spanish-translation services in vital areas such as healthcare so they can get the vital services they need. 

This program, designed to provide interpretation services to the Spanish-speaking population in Fort Wayne and the surrounding area, is gaining many new clients because even though some people speak enough English to get along on a daily basis, they don’t want to risk miscommunication with regard to their medical treatment. A caseworker accompanies the client to the doctor’s office and interprets the entire conversation between the care provider and the client. Clients usually learn about the program through word of mouth, and some clinics provide pamphlets containing information about the program.
