Announcing the Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades Annual Lecture Series on Catholic Social Teaching

Catholic Charities is excited to unveil a new initiative launching in South Bend in late Summer/Fall 2025: The Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades Annual Lecture Series on Catholic Social Teaching.

This annual lecture series will inspire individuals to pair Catholic Social Teaching with meaningful action within our community. Grounded in the Church’s principles, the series will emphasize the importance of putting faith into action, focusing on the intrinsic dignity and worth of every human being as created in the image of God and redeemed by Christ.

Each year’s lecture will shed light on key teachings of the Church—such as human dignity, solidarity, and the common good—while offering practical insights for living out these values. With engaging speakers and actionable takeaways, the series will challenge and equip participants to work for compassion in their communities.
