Mother’s Day Appeal

May is a time to offer devotions to Mary, our Blessed Mother, and to honor the mothers in our lives. Did you know May is also National Mental Health Awareness Month?

In celebration of our 100th anniversary as the principle charitable organization of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Catholic Charities would like to ensure the future of our counseling program through the Hope to Healing Mother’s Day Appeal.

Catholic Charities has mental health counselors, as well as a Clinical Liaison dedicated to this program.  The liaison receives referrals from diocesan priests, designees and Catholic school principals, assesses the needs and preferences of the person referred so we make the best connection for them with a licensed counselor in our vast network. This unique process allows for faster, more efficient support to the person in need.

Due to our supporters generosity, 432 individuals received care from our counseling team last year, but the need is ever-growing. We are committed to responding to the demand of mental health services in our diocese and we need your help!!

Our goal is to raise $25,000 so we can continue this life-saving work. This year, when you honor your mother, grandmother, a mother role model, or your wife or daughter’s motherhood, your donation will go twice as far because of a dollar-for-dollar match sponsored by a group of Catholic Charities donors.

We will send a beautiful Mother’s Day card acknowledging your honorary donation and Bishop Rhoades will say a special intention for all honorees at mass on Mother’s Day.

Visit www.ccfwsb.org/donate by April 27, 2022 so the Mother’s Day card can arrive on time. All donations should be designated to “Hope to Healing Mother’s Day.”

In honor of our Blessed Mother and her love for her Son, we hope you will be part of the Hope to Healing initiative this year.

Yours in Christ,
