Catholic Charities Welcomes New Clinical Liaison and Mental Health Ministries Facilitator
Melanie Williams, Psy.D., is originally from Granger, Indiana, and is excited to return to the Diocese of Fort Wayne - South Bend in the role of Clinical Liaison and Mental Health Ministries Facilitator for Catholic Charities.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2016, Dr. Williams dedicated several years to serving the Church at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. She subsequently obtained her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from Divine Mercy University in Sterling, Virginia. Dr. Williams brings extensive clinical experience from both faith-based mental health facilities and secular institutions, including the United States Naval Academy and Florida State University. Her clinical and research interests are centered on the integration of faith and psychology, with a focus on holistic approaches to individual psychotherapy, group therapy, psychological assessment, and community psychoeducation. Dr. Williams is dedicated to incorporating the Catholic Christian understanding of the human person into her psychological practice, supporting individuals and families in their healing journeys.
