New Interim CEO

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to update you on our transitional strategy for the Interim Chief Executive Officer position at Catholic Charities.

We have engaged a major search firm to find the best permanent CEO however, the search could take an additional few months. As a practicing physician, I am unable to continue to cover full-time. In our recent Board of Directors meeting, we took action to approve current board member Mr. Dan Florin to serve in the role of Interim CEO until the best candidate is found for the position. Mr. Florin’s service took effect on July 5. I will continue part-time to assist Dan in his new role.

Mr. Florin will be taking over the day-to-day duties of Interim CEO. I will continue to support operations of the staff and the mission of this organization as I return to my medical practice. Mr. Florin has decades of experience leading organizations as a retired Chief Financial Officer of a global orthopedic company and also served as Interim CEO for that organization for five months during the search for a permanent CEO.

The search for a full-time CEO is underway.

Catholic Charities has a 99-year history of living out its mission to “serve those in need as Christ would have us do.” Last year, Catholic Charities compassionately served 22,546 people in our 14-county diocese. During this time of transition, the agency continues to be committed to strengthening families and eradicating poverty.

Your’s in Christ,

John Fallon, MD, MBA
