WHAT

The Poverty Summit is a follow-up event to the published Poverty at the Crossroads Letter written by the five bishops of Indiana. Catholic Charities of the Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese is hosting an educational experience that inspires Catholic business leaders to consider practices that improve economic mobility of the working poor.

Lunch to be provided.

WHY

The 5 Bishops of Indiana have challenged everyone, beginning with ourselves, to engage the leaders of business, government and voluntary organizations throughout our state in effecting meaningful changes in the policies and practices that perpetuate poverty in all its manifestations.

Bishop Rhoades will be making opening remarks.

Keynote speaker, Brian Corbin, Executive Vice President of Member Services for Catholic Charities USA, will be sharing his insight on poverty at the national level. Catholic Charities FWSB will share take-a-ways of how you can implement family-focused policies at your business.
